Having seen the large banner on display at Circular Quay on the way home, yesterday I went to view the Annie Leibovitz exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art (my ticket above). I’ve heard a bit about her work before, but seeing it in front of you was truly amazing!

It’s quite an experience to shuffle along and be aware of the change in your mood as you view each image and read the small blurb provided - sadness: a boy has just been run over by a car in a war - torn country, the image (black and white) highlighting blood smears on the road and a bicycle on its side), or amusement: a coloured portrait of Jim Carey with a hilarious gaping facial expression.

I apologise for the absence of photos, we weren’t allowed to take any once in the exhibit unfortunately.

I recommend you check it out, and pay particular attention to the the detail in Leibovitz’s composition, especially the larger landscape and item photographs.

Details!

Cost: $15.00 ($10.00 concession).

Last day: 27th March.

Where? Circular Quay (you’ll see it).
