I really like the forms you have explored here Robert and see that this was an integral step to the way you resolved your final lamp shade. I thought perhaps it was a little unfair that a particular tutor suggested that your "Threads" piece was simply a sculpture and not a lampshade. But to quote The Dude, from the movie The Big Lebowski: "That is like their opinion, man"! I think that the absolute economy of material usage shown in your design was fantastic and really satisfied the requirement of the brief and would be an excellent way of putting a waste material to a higher purpose if you considered making more of them and selling it. A negative point, if I could tease one out, would be that maybe a more well considered method of attaching the shade to the lamp fitting could have been a good thing to do, but given the available time though, I think it was a resounding success.
